The Bronze Bow

Written by Elizabeth George Speare, The Bronze Bow, offers teacher in middle school a timeless tale of justice and forgiveness. Set in the 1st century B.C.E during the Roman Empire, the book provides a springboard for students to learn about the Roman Emprire, how cultures collide and how new alliances are formed. Students have the opportunity to grapple with the universal question: can justice and forgiveness go hand in hand. Teachers can bring social studies and literacy standards together, providing earning experiences for diverse learners in their classrooms .An engaging method to introduce the thematic unit can be to use a slideshow. Here are a few slides I created to use with my class.
